Bodeplein
When entering the second floor by elevator or stairs one arrives at the Bodeplein (the messengers square).
This multifunctional room, which exudes a combination of intimacy and space, is ideal for small presentations, receptions, lunch breaks and drinks. During conferences this space can also be used as an extra break-out room. The imposing marble reception desk can serve as a registration point, buffet or stylish bar.
In former times the important clients of the bank were received and jubilees were given their presents in this room. The offices of the board members were located on this floor so their messengers used to wait here to see to their needs through the many windows. The Bodeplein can be transformed into an atmospheric space for receptions of all kinds in the evening. The combination of the magnificent staircase, the Italian tile mosaic floor, the robust marble desk , the pillars and the view on either side to the central hall, a magical atmosphere arises that is difficult to capture on a photograph. It must be experienced.
